Bill Werkmeister is a Partner at WIDC. Mr. Werkmeister is principally responsible for the structuring of all capital raise efforts and joint venture relationships.
In addition to his role at WIDC, Mr.
Werkmeister is also an Inactive Partner, Shareholder, and Advisory Board
Member of Aegis Capital Group, where he helped structure and raise capital for
the firm's two CAPCO venture capital funds.
Bill is also an active Partner and Investor in Texas Family Magazine, a
statewide family values and parenting publication. Prior to his role at WIDC, Mr. Werkmeister
was an investment banking analyst with Salomon Smith Barney (NYC) and Director
of Treasury at Newtek Small Business Finance, an SBA lender. Mr. Werkmeister has participated on deal
teams for 14 public and private structured financing transactions totaling over
$7B USD in capital raised, as well as a number of M&A advisory transactions
for clients including General Electric, Vivendi, Honda, American Express, and
Sallie Mae. Bill is an Advisory Board
Member of Houston Achievement Place and a Former Associates Council Member of
the Children’s Aid Society.
Mr. Werkmeister’s investment banking and financial experience is essential to WIDC’s ability to structure financing arrangements and joint ventures that meet both financial and regulatory requirements. Mr. Werkmeister received his BS in Applied Economics and Business Management summa cum laude from Cornell University where he was awarded the Cyril Crowe Prize for outstanding academic achievement.
